Who Are We?

My name is Tucker Comstock. I designed and built Volare as my home. I was the founder, owner, and manager of Serendipity Adventures since its inception in 1991. But I fell in love. In 2011 I sold Serendipityand moved to my husband's farm in northern Costa Rica.
But I retained my personal home near my previous company. Volare is a home that begs to be enjoyed, and the staff in Volare love having guests come visit.
Through Volare, and the adventures this more isolated tourism region (Turrialba valley) offers, we share the best part of Costa Rica with travelers who appreciate great adventures, absolute privacy, real comfort, and high standards of service.
ABOUT ME
-
I first came to Costa Rica in 1989 with a balloon for American Airlines built by Cameron Balloons. At that time I owned and ran Cameron Balloons in Ann Arbor, Michigan -- it was then (and continues to be) the American part of the largest balloon manufacturer in the world. I fell in love with Costa Rica and the people I met here. With Roberto Kopper and Seth O'Neal we started Serendipity in 1991. Serendipity was a lot of fun - flying our balloons, riding fantastic horses, building a platform high in a jungle tree, designing a silent boat for seeing nature, exploring with 4x4 on back roads and through rivers and rainforests.
But I miss the vibrant people who used to travel with Serendipity. The idea of renting Volare to interesting, active people seemed a good way to keep involved. Volare, as a business, is boutique -- only one guest at a time -- and will remain that way.
Call us. Let us design your Costa Rica vacation, combining your vision of adventure and your desire to explore with our extensive experience as explorers and innovators in Costa Rica.
- We invite you to enjoy all the embracing energy Volare exudes.
