These extra cost services make your travel easier, more comfortable
Massage in Volare Usually with a few hours' notice Gisele can come to Volare for a Swedish massage or combination Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. One person at a time, usually an hour. CAN ARRANGE 2 people at a time with advance notice.
Laundry Yamilet will do your first batch of laundry each day at no additional cost. If you need more laundry then please pay Yamilet $10 per each batch extra. Please do not attempt to use the washer or dryer without Yamilet; it's more fragile than it looks.
COVID-19 Testing A local Turrialba laboratory will perform the ANTEGEN test for flights for the USA. Volare will make the appointment for you (no charge) AT LEAST 3 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR FLIGHT so they have the covid test kit reserved for you. The lab is open 7 AM-5PM Monday-Friday and Saturday 7AM-noon. The cost is in line with the test costs in San José. Results are sent within 2 hours via e-mail.
For people traveling to destinations requiring the RT-PCR test, the same laboratory can take the sample and send it to a San José lab for processing; results take at least 24 hours.
COVID testing completed in Volare A lab employee will come to Volare to administer the test(s). There is an additional charge of $75 for home lab sample service, either ANTEGEN or RT-PCR.
Rental Car - Deluxe Service Volare employee picks up your rental card then meets you at the arrival terminal. You load your luggage directly into the vehicle and leave immediately for Volare, saving easily an hour getting through the car rental process. Volare will PREPAY the rental ca, which guarantees the car will be exactly what you have requested. The disadvantage of this service is that Volare will be the renter, and you will be added onto our rental agreement, which means we use our credit card for payment, not yours. It will have full insurance, so that when you continue your travels you will be fully covered as a Named Extra Driver.
When you return the car Volare will meet you at the airport to receive the car and take back to the agency -- another hour of time savings on departure.
Driver to meet your arrival flight .... A VERY popular service! A Volare employee will meet you when you leave the terminal and go with you to the rental car agency, get your car with you, then drive through the city to Volare. San José is chaos, and always construction delays. For person not accustomed to Latin driving it is an invaluable stress-reliever. Cost is $75 for either pickup or return to airport.
Airport Transfer Vehicle and driver to meet your flight or take you to the airport. Cost is $140 either direction for up to 4 people; $180 for up to 7 persons.
Guide/Driver Room Below Volare main house is a bedroom/bathroom suitable for a driver or guide. Cost is $30 per night.
