Volaré -- "I will fly"
Surrounded by natural wood and unblocked views of nature is exciting and calming at the same moment.
Leather couches are super comfortable. Sometimes we eat ... a simple dinner on the glass table. The fireplace warms us, but that doesn't stop us from pulling a sheepskin or kangaroo hide around us -- for the fun of it. Extra firewood is just outside the glass door, so the evening keeps going until everyone is ready to sleep.
Behind the couch is the stereo system, plus spare candles, a telescope, and serving dishes.
The fireplace is ready to use when you arrive -- and each day we come to clean it out and lay new wood.
The dining table seats 8 comfortably. It's easy to serve from the kitchen
With queen size bed. This is the most private of the bedrooms, ... and quietest. The entry door from the deck allows wheelchair access. We've built a table on rollers to pass over the bed - very useful for eating, working, watching TV (especially if you are disabled; I was its first user). We can remove the table and add a crib or single bed to this room.
Bedside lamps are touch controlled; ceiling fan with remote control. USB charging ports on electrical outlets.
Generous closets and shelf space.
With infinite hot water, shower with adjustable shower head height, oversized bathtub, candles.. hard to leave it.
Queen size bed, large chest of drawers, silk curtains for privacy ... but also that open when you want to expand your vistas. The room overlooks the valley, with private balcony and chairs, and a fireman's pole (that's also not related as to why I am on crutches). But don't try to use it without an expert (ahem, me) instructor.
Bedside tables with touch lamps and USB charging ports on both sides.
There's a (small, cheap) TV in the closet, with CLARO dish service -- not a lot of English language options (mainly local sports, news, and old American movies). There's a DVD connected, and if you can figure out the remote controls, and a small DVD library.
Option of one king size bed or two single beds. ... Private balcony with chairs. Silk curtains for visual privacy, and a large chest of drawers, closet and ample shelf space. Bedside touch lamps and USB connectors.
At the top of the stairs is an office for two people, ... with a shared printer. Ideal place for Work At Home.
INTERNET: an upstairs router and a downstairs router give 30 Mbps coverage throughout the house and on the deck (not at the hot tub -- that's a sacred NO WORK place).
Seventh Bed: folded against the wall is a single bed which we can use when requested. Touch lamp and USB charger on shelf above bed. This room does NOT have a door and therefore no visual privacy... beware!
The two bedrooms and study share the upstairs bathroom. ... Oversize bathtub, separate shower with 2 shower head supports (for little kids through basketball players), all with a view of the hot tub outside.
